In his new scenic music video, Morgan Evans portrays his journey to finding peace and happiness, despite the fact that he’s “On My Own Again.”

Following his recent divorce from fellow country singer, Kelsea Ballerini, Evans went viral after showcasing his emotional ballad, “Over For You.” This heartbreaking track was proceeded by his latest, more hopeful tune that finds him looking at the bright side of the difficult situation. Both of these songs are slated to be featured on his upcoming Life Upside Down EP, available April 21.

At first, “On My Own Again” finds Evans pondering over, “Tomorrow when she wakes up, I wonder if she’ll miss me,” but then he realizes he has a new freedom to go wherever he wants to go, whether that’s Mexico, California, New York.

“I’m gonna drive until the wheels fall off this old truck in my heart / If forever’s gonna end like that, I guess I’d better start / The rest of my life, like the best times, up around the bend / Oh-oh, on my own again,” he sings in the chorus which he co-wrote alongside Zach Kale and Geoff Warburton.

Throughout the beautifully shot music video, the Australia-born singer/songwriter is shown traveling around the world, performing, seeing his experiences through a new perspective, and picking up the pieces of his broken heart. Day by day, he’s discovering just how much he has to look forward to in life.

“8 shows, 7 countries, 3 bicycles, 2 goats & 1 camel. For a song documenting a poignant moment in my life, I thought it’d be appropriate to make a video the same way,” Evans shared in a press release. “I invited the guys behind the ‘Over For You’ music video and the docuseries on the road in Morocco, Europe, Ireland and the UK for one of the adventures of my life so far.”

Footage from this video was taken from his five-part documentary series that was directed by Peter John. Each episode take viewers backstage and back to Evans’ home as he bears the truth behind his 2022 musical journey in Australia and New Zealand.

Episode 1 titled, “The Return,” opens with Evans’ memorable show at CMC Rocks QLD Festival, where he debuted “Over For You” for 22,000 people. This was the performance that went viral as the news of his divorce had just dropped only weeks before shooting for this series. The song ended up being recorded and released for fans all over the world to hear.

“This song is the most personal thing I’ve ever written and the most personal thing I’ve ever shared,” said Evans

Morgan Evans will continue sharing his story through his upcoming Life Upside Down EP, which features a total of five tracks including his newest releases as well as two unreleased songs titled “Hey Little Mama” and “All Right Here.” The final track is the original live version of “Over For You,” recorded during his Melbourne concert.

“I called the EP ‘Life Upside Down’ because this collection of music could only have come from this time, when my life felt exactly that. To me, these five tracks journey through unexpected heartbreak, self-rediscovery, new beginnings and a new found gratitude for the present moment,” Evans explained.

Morgan Evans recently wrapped his co-headlining U.K. Day Drunk Me Tour with Mitchell Tenpenny. This trek featured performances on three headlining stages at C2C Festival, including to a crowd of 20,000+ in London.

As of March 30, Morgan Evans hit the road in support of Brett Young’s 5 Tour 3 2 1 alongside his tourmate Ashley Cooke. This run of shows takes place across 19 cities, many of which are nearly sold out. After wrapping things up on May 20 in Los Angeles, CA, Evans will join Billy Currington for select dates.
